Protests driven by Iran’s economic crisis have entered a sixth day, with deaths reported in several cities. Statements from US and Iranian leaders have raised diplomatic tensions as authorities respond to unrest spreading beyond Tehran.

Protests linked to Iran’s worsening economic conditions have continued for a sixth day, spreading from Tehran to several other cities. Demonstrators have raised concerns over rising prices, currency collapse and governance issues.
Iranian authorities said the protests were largely peaceful but warned against damage to public property. At least seven people have been reported killed during clashes, with videos showing security forces present at protest sites.
The situation has also drawn international attention after comments by former US President Donald Trump about possible intervention. Iranian officials rejected any foreign involvement, calling it a threat to national security.
President Masoud Pezeshkian has said his government is willing to listen to protesters’ demands, while security forces have cautioned against unrest and external interference.
